ABOUT THE POSITION
The Department of National Parks and Wildlife is inviting applications from suitably qualified and dedicated individuals to fill the position of National Parks Guard. The successful candidates will be responsible for protecting wildlife, enforcing park regulations, and ensuring the safety of visitors within the park.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Patrol designated areas to prevent poaching and illegal activities.
Monitor wildlife and report unusual activities.
Enforce park laws and regulations.
Assist tourists and provide information about the park.
Participate in conservation and environmental protection activities.
Maintain patrol records and submit reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent.
Physically fit and able to work in remote areas.
Good communication and observation skills.
Ability to work long hours, including weekends and public holidays.
No criminal record.
Previous experience in security, wildlife conservation, or military/police training will be an added advantage.
